Groomers are scarce in northern Putnam County. Sherrena's Lizton shop is about 25 minutes northeast of Roachdale.
Roachdale owners head about 25 minutes northeast through farm country to reach Lizton. It is a pretty drive in any season and about as relaxed as a car ride gets for a dog.
When you live this far from town, you do not want to drop a dog off at 8 and wait for a call at 4. Booking here is one appointment at a time, so you can plan the drive around a set time and know your pup will not be sitting in a kennel.
Dogs that only come in a few times a year usually need more than a trim. Matted coats get worked out humanely, or clipped short when that is the kinder choice, and Sherrena will tell you which one before she starts. Undercoat blow outs help a lot with heavy shedders between visits.
